Tennessee trip plans

I am actually typing this on 10/1/07. Tomorrow I embark on my first real multi-point roadtrip and I could not be more excited. My first stop will be Eric's in Martinsburg, WV, where I plan to do some hard-core rest, relaxation and reading. There isn't much else to do in West Virginia anyhow! I can't wait to see them. Typing this at 6 am in our hotel in Chicago – we should be in SLC, so we’re behind schedule before we’ve actually started! Quite a day yesterday and it already seems light years ago. Journey to Heathrow was fine, though there was quite a long delay in Luton which started to concern me. Anyway, I checked in and met Steve in Costa Coffee as planned. We left after 7:00pm and were on the road. We arrived in Gainesville and stayed at the Springhill suites by Marriott Gainesville. Hotel was a 4 of 5 stars in my hotel book. Day 1 Touched down on Nashville International Airport (BNA) @ 9:00am, and walked up to the Thrifty Car Rental for a car; and so began our incredible journey over to Goodlettsville, a suburb of Nashville. 10:00am We arrived at Crestwood Suites Hotel and Checked in. Nashville in three days

July 3, 2007 We have travelled over 900 miles in the last three days. Our first camp was in West Virginia (Gerald R. Freeman Campground; Sutton, WV)... Day two brought <B>us</B> to My Old Kentucky Home State Park in Bardstown, KY. Day three brought <B>us</B> to our first real stop along the way... Mammoth Cave National Park. MCNP was spectacular. We took a two hour tour through the most historic parts of the cave. Mammoth Cave is truly "Mammoth" with over 367 miles of recorded passages. So today is day one. The ride down here wasn't too bad. I didn't get to sleep but I got to check up on my podcasts. I didn't really get to do much today though. We arived here around three, got settled in at the Southwood Inn by three thirty. Around five we went down to Michie[spelling?].
