here, the city put the torch by British loyalists during the war of 1812.

you can step back to the war of 1812. Travel 15 miles on the Erie Canal
with the help of Lockport Lock and Erie Canalcruises. Father Louis Hennepin became the first European to describe the prodigious Cadence of water that is the mighty Falls in 1678. Trickle of tourists became a
steady streamafter the completion of the Erie canalin 1825 and a torrent when the railways linked western New Yorkin the points east. Today millions throng the place. Buffalo

Only 3 days in a year the Temperature drops below 0 degree. We took a one stop flight from san Antonioto Buffalo.As we started early we Carried some sandwiches and washed it off with tomato juice provided in flight. We reached Buffaloat 12.30 and rented a car. As we are vegetarians we looked for an Indian restaurant and we could locate one. The taste of India was a good one and then we headed straight to Niagara. It was just a20 minutes journey.
As we reached we were surprised to find many youngsters dressed in white like Angels and young men in suits. People go there to get married and Niagarais known as the honeymoon capital of India. We stayed In Best Western Inn. There are many good Hotels like Comfort suites and Holiday Inn with affordable rates. They are near the airports also. BuffaloNiagara has many places that cater to the need of all cultures and tastes. Coffee Aroma is an Italian cafeteria, Fuji Grill is Japanese, andmany Mexican eating places are there.
We started our adventure at
Niagara FallsState park
in the evening.We stood within the feet of American Falls, Bridal veil fallsand horse shoe falls. We stood in awe as we saw the water accelerating at the rate of 32 feet per second. We gathered necessary information from the hotel reception and so we were ready by 9 A.Mfor the Conducted tour operator to pick us up.
The main attractions are the Cave of the winds and the maid of the mist Cave of the winds is a unique journey fro a down under perspective of the thundering Falls. Take an elevator ride down under and 175 feet to the base of the Bridal veil falls and walk along on wooden stairs. Feel in the power of falls from Hurricane deck just a feet from the pounding waters.
We weregiven an yellow poncho for protection from the water. Then we enjoyed the famous Maid of the Mist adventure on a cruise wearing the blue poncho. It was a fantastic journey through crashing waters. There is a15 minutes film in the visitors centre.
Had a stroll in the night to see the light and sound show when the illumination and fireworks take place which is a marvelous sight. There are many ways to take the majesty of Niagara Falls.No view is more panoramic or breath taking than from high atop the skylon tower.,775 feet above Niagara Falls. 3 glass enclosed yellowbug elevators travel up the outside of the tower,transporting guests to the dome. Enjoy the majestic beauty from air.
