I have driven through that town quite a few times... a typical American city that is spread 2 blocks on eitehr side of a main highway. I ended up staying there one night at the great 3-star hotel, ooops...Motel.. It had a coffee maker, a refrigerator and a TV (hence a 3-star hotel). Owned and operated by a 75 yr old lady who had left the key on the door as I arrived late at 10.30 PM. I did the usual mistake of a wrong assumption. Realized even the only McDonald closed at 10 PM and ended up sleeping hungry. Next day AM, made my coffee, and dropped the key at the door and left. Of course, the only McDonald would not open till 6.30 and hence no use. During otehr time, when I drove through that town during day time, it took only a flat 2 in to cross the town from one end to another. 30 MPH speed limit that will enable you to take a tour of the "city" in 2 minutes. One school, one tiny hospital, 1 doctor, 2 gas stations, a large grain elevator company,a John Deere and a couple of used car Dealerships, one supermarket, one hardware store, 3 or 4 mom and pop diners, a barber shop, and of course 5 or 6 churches.
That was Greensburg, KS.
