Alabama trip plans

Just trying to finish last minute details before we leave and testing out the yahoo journal. Ok, so we decided to skip Brooklyn and we went straight to DC... The ride done was fine, we didn't leave MA till about 4:30 - got over the GW Bridge about 7:30 and into DC sometime around midnight. Fairly unevently trip other then an eighteen wheeler going into the wrong toll booth and having to turn around and drive against traffic to get back to turn back around and go to the booth that was correct. Cross Country Road Trip Summer 2008

We got on the road pretty late....about 10:45. It took a while to get the dog to my mom's house, and pack up the car. We drove to Lafayette, LA. Spent the night at a Baymont Inn. Ready to get up in the morning and drive on.... We got up early, ate breakfast at Shoneys...that was a treat. We don't have Shoney's anywhere near <B>us</B> anymore. It used to be hubby's favorite breakfast place. It was just so so for me. I LOVED driving thru Louisiana. I had no idea how neat the landscape is. Louisville, KY We started the trip on the way down with a trip the the Louisville Slugger Factory tour and Mueseum. It was a well spent 2.5 hour leg stretcher. Pretty economical and you get a souvenier bat (small) for free. Great baseball history, batting cages, play area, tour, movie, etc. Good diversion if you are headed south from the mid-west. I wanted to provid a rundown of a trip my friends and I took to Atlanta over Memorial Day Weekend, 2007. The schedule has been updated to show exactly where we went and how much time we spent at each place. At the end I'll also give a summary of how much we spent total for all of the attractions. Mobile, <B>Alabama</B> It's now 1:30 am on Saturday, August 25, 2007. We just arrived Mobile. Our trip originally was going to start on the 25th. However, we decided to leave Beaumont, Texas today and drive this far. We left Beaumont about 6:40 pm. We made a stop in Crowley, LA, and continued on to Baton Rouge, LA. We arrived and departed Baton Rouge at about 10:00 pm. We made no stops there and continued on to Slidell, LA, where we stopped to get gas. After getting gas we continued on to Mobile. 2007 Road Trip - The Southern Circle

Tuesday Nov. 20, 2007 At 6:00 a.m. we left for a 12 hour drive to Mobile Al. Our neighbors and their two kids in their car joined my wife and I and our two kids in our car and we caravanned through Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and finally <B>Alabama</B>. Gulf Coast- Thanksgiving Antidote

Today we left from my boyfriend's hometown of Fitzgerald, GA for our sweeping tour of the Southeast. Heading off towards Montgomery, AL, we stuck to the backroads for a more interesting drive. Stopped just over the <B>Alabama</B> border for lunch at Michelle's, a southern-style buffet restaurant. It. Was. Awesome.
