Had a horrendous experience traveling back from Chennai to Jakarta via Malaysia Airlines on Jan 1.
First of their India office brazenly screwed up our bookings - forcing us to wait at the airport check-in counter for an hour, while they "sorted things out"..........no apologies offered. This inspite of waiting at their city booking office over 2 hours waiting for the right booking, to prevent such problems. Apparently they dont give a damn !
At the KL transit, while boarding the connecting flight to Jakarta.......I was personally taken off the queue and asked for my "ticket coupon" despite repeatedly flashing my e-ticket. Again because their goddamn system did not print "E TKT" on the boarding pass. What exactly is wrong with their systems - it will take the almighty to figure out I guess.
When I expressed my exasperation, the hulk manning the flight deck threatened to "send me where I belong"........and asked me to use my "pea sized Indian brain".......I walked away from the conflict. Because given how Malaysian authorities treat Malaysian citizens of Indian origin......they can possibly fabricate any charge to harass an Indian transit passenger. Fellow Indian passengers told us - these abuses against Indians are normal and regular - especially in the KL transit !!
