Millions of Kawarias will move to Haridwar or Gomukh, source of Ganges to fetch Ganga jal, which they will later pour over Shivalingam.
Kawar is a pot to carry holy water,thus they are known as Kawarias!
It is an ardous journey.
A pilgrim must abstain from(a) Sex(b) Non Veg.(c) exotic meal(d) insanitation(e)footwear(F) any other religious misconduct.
It is seen as a journey for Lord Shiva!
All pilgrims try to act like true shiva bhaktas, without mundane comforts.
However, every year is a witness to untowards incident.
Many clash with any one who come into their path.
A massive security arrangement is made to make this Yatra(journey)- a smooth and enjoyable experience.
Many allude it to fulfilling of oaths or wishes.
Ganges is seen as the nector or elixir by Hindus and consuming it or having bath in its water, isdeemed sacrosanct!
According to hindu texts, Lord Shiva is so kind hearted that he never refuses any genuine wish of his devotees!
