Sightseeing in the Sessa Orchid Sanctuary

Sightseeing in the Sessa Orchid Sanctuary : Ecosystem in the Sessa Orchid Sanctuary, Sessa Orchid Sanctuary at Sessa, West Kameng district, about 20 km away from Tipi shelters varied orchids in varied shapes and colours. Sessa Orchid Sanctuary in Arunachal Pradesh has been preserved and developed in an effort to conserve the natural habitat of large number of orchid species.

Sessa Orchid Sanctuary : Arunachal Pradesh located in the extreme North East corner of India is indeed an enchanting land with rich, varied and colorful flora and fauna. The lush green forests spread over numerous hills rising from about 100 m to a height of about 7000 m encamped with eternal snow and networked by numerous rivers, provide congenial environment to myriads of lifes that coexist harmoniously. A most striking feature of the exhaustive vegetation that one finds here are lovely and colourful orchids, which bloom in abundance with myriads of colours and forms.

Eagle Nest Wildlife Sanctuary : Eagle's Nest Wildlife Sanctuary in Arunachal Pradesh is located in the West Kameng District of the state. The sanctuary covering an area of 217 sq km, shelters various animals and birds. The various animals seen here are elephants, tigers, leopards, sambars, serows, gorals, and red panda to name a few.

Kaziranga National Park

Kaziranga National Park : Located on the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River in the far North East of India. , Kaziranga National Park covers an area of approximately 430-sq-kms with its swamps and tall thickets of elephant grass making it the ideal habitat for the Indian One-Horned Rhino. Due to limitless poaching of this prehistoric survivor, the Kaziranga National Park was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1940.

Pakhui Game Sanctuary

Pakhui Game Sanctuary : This 826 square kilometres of luxurious forest is home to the Bengal tiger, the great pied hornbill and a few endangered birds. There are a host of other birds, both resident and migratory, including the white winged wood duck which is considered one of the most gravely endangered bird species in India. Pakhui also shelters herds of elephants, gaurs, leopards and barking deer.
